Japanese idol group S/mileage challenges SNSD

SKE48, S/mileage, bump.y and Momoiro Clover attended the “Idol Summer Festival 2010” at C.C. Lemon Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo. The groups got a precious chance to perform and they got to promote each of their traits.

100 people from the press attended. When Hayami Akari (15) from idol group Momoiro Clover was interviewed she said, “It’s the idol warring states, but our showdown will be our performances. I want us to do our best for our performances,” aware of the other groups.

Idol group S/mileage member Fukuda Kanon (15) threw out a written challenge to 9-member Korean unit SNSD. In an interview Fukuda said with strength and a smile, “SNSD is known as the idols with great legs, but we’re fresher.” “Everyone here, along with our seniors Morning Musume, AKB48 and SNSD are our rivals. But, we have fresh great legs and can’t lose to anyone.” Each member from the other groups just smiled bitterly.

2,000 fans were in attendance this day. They will hold another event on the 31st at the same place.

Konser Gabungan Mano Erina dan S/mileage

Untuk kesekian kalinya, dua konser member Hello! Project digabung dalam satu panggung. Setelah sebelumnya Berryz Koubou dan C-ute yang di pertemukan di konser Nakayoshi Battle Berryz Vs C-ute. Kini giliran solois Hello! Project, Mano Erina dan unit grup S/mileage bergabung dalam satu konser.

Judul konser yang bertajuk ~Kansha Mankai! Mano Erina 2 Shuunen Totsunyuu & S/mileage Major Debut e Sakura Sake! Live~ siap digelar dalam waktu dekat ini. Ini merupakan konser Manoeri yang kesekian kalinya dan merupakan konser S/mileage yang akan menjadi pengantar bagi mereka yang akan segera  memulai debut mereka secara major.

Acara ini didukung oleh J.P Room dan UFA, dan akan dilangsungkan pada tanggal 14 Maret 2010 dari pukul 18.00 sampai 18.30 (waktu Jepang).
Harga tiketnya sebesar 3.500yen.

Konser ini mengingatkan kita pada salah satu konser gabungan antara W bersama dengan Berryz Koubou, yaitu konser 2004 Natsu First Concert Tour ~W Standby! Double You & Berryz Kobo! (2004) dan 2005 Natsu W & Berryz Kobo Natsu Concert Tour “High Score!” (2005) di awal karirnya. Tidak lupa juga konser kolaborasi Berryz Kobo dan C-ute yang bertajuk Berryz Kobo & °C-ute Nakayoshi Battle Concert Tour 2008 Haru ~Berryz Kamen vs Cutie Ranger~ (2008).

Jika dilihat secara cermat, konser gabungan ini di lakukan dengan tujuan agar S/mileage mampu melakukan pertunjukan musik dan interaksi kepada penggemar secara maksimal dalam skala lebih besar (konser). Karena mau tidak mau, di masa yang akan datang, S/mileage yang sudah menjadi bagian dari salah satu unit utama di Hello!Project pasti akan menggelar konser khusus, yang diperuntukan bagi grup mereka sendiri. Maka dari itu, gabungan konser ini akan berakibat positif bagi perkembangan mental S/mileage dalam hal performance yang berskala lebih besar.

S/mileage needs your help to major debut! 10,000 smile picture campaign

Announced during today’s 2010 Haropro Egg Norimen Live Ni-gatsu concert, and on S/mileage’s official site is the challenge that Tsunku has given to S/mileage. Since a part of the S/mileage name stands for “smile”, he is asking for 10,000 smile pictures from people around the world. Tsunku wants to see what the S/mileage girls can do to accomplish this. In return, he will let S/mileage major debut in May. This campaign begins now and will end on March 25th midnight, Japan time. All the pictures collected in this campaign will be made into a mosaic board of size 2 meter by 4 meter big. The final result will be announced during the Mano Erina and S/mileage concert on April 3rd.

Update
According to the video from the announcement during the Egg concert (video below), the four S/mileage girls will have to glue each submitted photo onto the 2 x 4 meter board themselves.

A website has been set up for submitting smile photos, which accepts pictures from mobile phones, computers, and smart phones. For many of us living outside of Japan, we must use the computer submission method.
