1. YoonYul were sitting beside each other (the girls wore the outfit from their music core performance and were seated in accordance to the sequence in Hoot’s photo booklet – Fany, Sica, Maknae, Sunny, HyoYeon, Taeyeon, Yoona, Yuri & SooYoung)

While the others were talking, Yoona started to play with the front zip of Yul’s top.. she was trying to test if the zip is easily being pulled down.. she slowly pulled down the zip and for a long while.. Yul was also trying out with her and then she hit Yoona by the back.. Yoona stopped and started testing with her own zip…

Yuri…As an idol group member, her vocal skills aren’t bad at all. But, that doesn’t mean she has only one range. It’s a conservative vocal.

Yoona…Because of her pretty face, there is this misconception that Yoona’s vocal skills are lacking, but that’s not the case at all. Although her vocal skills aren’t the greatest, but she is good at harmonizing.

Sunny…If she received great vocal training, she has the potential to become great. Within the group, she has the most unique voice and she has own range. R&B songs suits her well.

Yuri…Her healthy look and energy is overflowing. She possesses the sexy look. Yuri adjusts to the situation and with her intuition she knows what to show of herself. As a model, her potential is really the highest.

Sunny…By feel, she is the most like a young girl. When you see her on variety shows, she is very lively, but seeing her in real life, she is surprisingly a quiet person.

Yuri’s pre-debut CF with Jang Donggun revealed

Although it was something in the past, the CF featuring Yuri and top star, Jang Donggun has recently garnered much attention.

On portal sites, netizens have updated the title of the video to “The young look of SNSD’s Kwon Yuri before debut”. The cookie CF which Yuri and Jang Donggun shot was only aired in China.

In the CF, the short-haired and young-looking Yuri who appeared in school uniform was given a ride on a bicycle by Jang DOnggun. It was a lovely and sweet scene that filled female fans with envy.

However, some of SNSD’s fans who saw the video could not be sure of the identity of the female actress in the CF. They debated and gave mixed opinions such as “It’s definitely Yuri” and “It’s not Yuri”.

Yuri & Tiffany battled for “Mistake”

SNSD’s latest track on their “Hoot” mini-album, “Mistake,” earned much attention after its release for being written by member Yuri herself.

The members revealed in a recent interview that Tiffany and Yuri had to battle one another in order to get their lyrics included in the album. The members stated, “They both battled until the very end, although Yuri won. Yuri’s lyrics about a heart breaking crush must’ve fit better with the song than Tiffany’s lyrics about never ending love.”

Yuri stated, “I’ve always wanted to personally contribute to the album. Lyrics that I had already written up fit well with our new song, so it was a great chance and opportunity. It was very different watching us perform a song that I wrote, as it almost made me choke up.”

When asked whether her lyrics stem from personal experience, Yuri shook her head before answering, “I have a habit of writing down things on a memo while reading. These lyrics were influenced by some notes I took from a book.”

Member Tiffany added, “I like writing as well. Should I receive another opportunity, I will take it and go with something stronger.”

The remaining members expressed their desire to participate in their next album production as well. Taeyeon has been busily studying about writing music, while Seohyun has been taking lessons on jazz piano.

The group claimed that their goal was to produce an album with nine different songs written and composed by each of them. The title track will be decided by a game of rock, paper, scissor.

What does Park Kyunglim and Yuri have in common?

Comedian and MC, Park Kyunglim posted the result from a face recognition program that suggested that there is 71% similarities in facial features between herself and Yuri via Twitter on October 3rd.

Kyunglim said, “Friends, please come and congratulate me. The result is produced based on my photo. This is really accurate. I’m sorry, Yuri”.

Kyunglim’s photo was taken during the shooting of drama “The Musical”. With her apple-shaped hair and smile on her face, Kyunglim looks younger. Dressed in a white hooded shirt, the program ‘thought’ that she is a 29-year old woman (Park Kyunglim was born in 1979).

Comfort comes first for long haul flights

SNSD members, especially Tiffany and YoonA’s airport fashion caught the attention of media yet again. This time, they were spotted wearing shorts at the airport. The girls left for Los Angeles at around 3.30pm KST to perform at the SM Town Live 10 Concert in Staples Center on September 4th, along with other SM Town artists such as BoA, Super Junior, f(x), SHINee, etc.

In an interview with Sports Chosun before they boarded the plane, YoonA said,”Recently, we practice and prepared very hard for the 1st Japanese showcase and we are happy with the response that we received. We wish to overcome the nervousness when we perform in United States as we want to enjoy every single moment while standing on the stage.”

When asked about the shorts she’s wearing, YoonA replied, “For long haul flights, I prefer wearing more comfortable clothes.”

The sales of tickets for SM Town Live 10 Concert in LA kicked off on July 24th. 15,000 seats were sold out and out of that figure, more than half of the seats are expected to be taken up by fans from Vancouver, Toronto, New York and Washington.
